Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra

Dreyfus Music, one of the biggest independent Jazz and French Music labels in France, was founded by Francis Dreyfus, the iconic French producer whose work encompassed the sixties through to the 21st century, died in June 2010. His main legacy is as producer and label to Jean Michel Jarre, with whom for a period of 25 years he sold many millions of albums in all around the world.

Dutton (including Epoch & Vocalion)

Dutton (including Epoch and Vocalion), one of the UK's finest record labels specialising in re-issuing on CD music recorded between the 1920s and 1970s, and in issuing albums of modern digital recordings, was established by leading British recording and re-mastering engineer Michael J Dutton. ICA CLASSICS is a division of the management agency International Classical Artists Ltd (ICA). The new label features both archive material from sources such as the BBC, WDR in Cologne and the Boston Symphony Orchestra (the LEGACY series), as well as performances from the agency’s own artists recorded in prestigious venues around the world (the LIVE series). The desire to produce unique recordings sets Lipkind Productions in a niche of its own. Gavriel Lipkind enjoyed a stellar rise to fame as a young cellist before making the decision to further his studies and launch his own record label, which has been well received.
Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra

Highly respected for its ongoing Shostakovich Symphonies series on Naxos, the Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra has launched its own label with a sparkling recording of Offenbach’s rarely heard operetta ‘A Husband At The Door’ coupled with ‘Fontaine’s Fables’, conducted by Vasily Petrenko.
Loft

The American label Loft Recordings has an international focus and specialises in organ recordings with an early music emphasis. It also incorporates the Clarion, Gothic and Quilisma catalogues, which cover American choirs performing world premiere and unusual repertoire.
London Philharmonic Orchestra

The London Philharmonic Orchestra made its first recordings on 10 October 1932, just three days after its first public performance following its founding by Sir Thomas Beecham.  It has recorded and broadcast regularly ever since, and in 2005, established its own CD label. These CDs are unique: amongst them are archive recordings, studio recordings, live concert recordings and recordings of world-premiere performances. Repertoire encompasses music from the baroque to the present day; music for the concert hall, music for the opera house, and music for children. Conducted by the charismatic Vladimir Jurowski, the LPO tours Australia late 2009.
London Symphony Orchestra Live

LSO Live captures the world famous orchestra’s concert performances - the musicians choose what should be recorded and are involved throughout the production process. To date LSO Live has released 80 recordings with many of the world’s leading conductors including Valery Gergiev, Sir Colin Davis, Bernard Haitink, Mariss Jansons and the late Mstislav Rostropovich. The label won its first Grammy awards in 2002 and since collected Classical Brit Awards, Gramophone Awards and numerous other international prizes.
Long Distance

Traditional acoustic music of the world is a seemingly inexhaustible source of new sounds and new ways of expressing emotions in music. Founded by celebrated film score composer Armand Amar, the label strives to create a proper synthesis between authenticity and (production) quality by recording music. Dedicated to the more urban musical currents, a second line has been created within the label, named 'Cities'. Amar also runs a world music studio in Paris which has a legendary collection of some 300 instruments from around the globe.

Manticore

Manticore Records was the legendary imprint established by Emerson Lake & Palmer in 1973 for the purposes of releasing new ELP-related material, but also to promote the work of artists admired by the band. The label was active for just over three years, but during this time the imprint released a series of wonderful albums by artists such as Stray Dog, P.F.M., Banco, Pete Sinfield, Keith Christmas and others.
Marabi

Marabi is the label created in 2002 by Christian Mousset, director of Festival de Musiques Métisses d’Angoulème in France. The festival is widely opened to urban popular musics from the African Continent, Indian Ocean, Carribean and the Americas. On the same artistic line, the label privileges upcoming artists and patrimonial leading figures.
Marco Polo

The original concept of the Marco Polo label was to bring to listeners unknown compositions by well-known composers. There was, at the same time, an ambition to bring the East to the West. Since then there have been many changes in public taste and in the availability of recorded music. Composers once little known are now easily available in recordings. Marco Polo, in consequence, has set out on further adventures of discovery and exploration.
